As you would expect at the world’s largest aviation event there is a great deal to see and do, so having 6 full days at the show enables you to do it at a leisurely pace. The slower you go, the more you will see. So, what exactly is there to see? In a word “lots”! 2024 was a record-breaking year, with approximately 686,000 people attending the event: 27,000 more than in 2023. There were 21,883 aircraft operations in an 11-day period from the 20th to30th July, averaging approximately 148 take offs and landings perhour when the airport was open. There were 3,365 showplanes with a record 1,497 registered vintage aircraft. 2,846 total aircraft on display (not those flying in), 1,200 vintage aircraft, 1,067 home builds, 975 home built aircraft, 380 warbirds, 194 ultralights and light planes, 134 seaplanes and amphibians, 82 aerobatic aircraft, and 41 rotorcraft
